activagers is an Internet platform for the mature surfer, where registered users can make new, as well as revive old contacts. activagers is delighted if registered users wish to invite friends and acquaintances, as by doing this the community grows. There is a special invitation feature at activagers that allows friends and acquaintances to be invited.

The page is not properly displayed, what can I do?

In order for activagers to be properly displayed, JavaScript must be enabled in your browser. Javascript is enabled for the browser Firefox via the following menu items: Tools, settings, content, and then tick the 'Enable Javascript'. For Internet Explorer, choose the following menu options: Tools, Internet Options, then the tab 'Security', 'Custom Level' and under the 'Scripting' feature, activate 'Active Scripting' and 'Scripting of Java applets'.

If photos are only partially displayed or graphics do not load, then it can be solved in most cases by simply emptying the cache. The cache can be emptied by simultaneously pressing 'Ctrl' and 'F5'.

If no photos appear on activagers, then the user should check the browser's settings to verify that the graphics for the site are not blocked.

For any other problems encountered, the user should send a message to the activagers team at service@activagers.co.uk, with a brief description of the problem and error message displayed.

How do I find other users, articles, blog, bulletin board posts or other information?

Every user can utilise the search or extended search tool to find particular information, which is located at the top right-hand side of the page.

I was insulted or harassed by another user, what can I do?

If a user feels harassed or offended by another user, they can block them. In cases of severe insults and harassment, the user can also report it to the activagers team at service@activagers.co.uk.

For insulting comments or content found elsewhere in activagers (in groups, forums, blogs, etc.), we would ask every user to let us know immediately at service@activagers.co.uk where it can be found. Violating contributions which are found are deleted by the activagers team.

My Profile (My Page)

What is a profile?

A profile contains all the information that a user wishes to publish within the framework of the platform. The profile should include both data (e.g. age), as well as information / descriptions (e.g. occupation, hobbies) and multimedia content (photos, videos ...). In the profile area, there are both mandatory as well as optional fields to be filled out.

How do I contact other activagers?

On the profile page of other users there is the tool for sending messages. Each user is free to respond to these messages.

How do I manage my messages?

activagers have the opportunity to manage their messages through the menu 'My Page': A mouse click on the envelope icon brings you to your inbox where you will have the option to delete, send new or view old messages.

How do I know what other activagers are doing?

The activities of other activagers are listed under 'My Page' / 'What's new?’.

How do I use the media features of activagers?

How do I use activagers chat function?

To participate in an activagers chat, you simply select 'chat' from the 'My Media' menu. A text box appears with the chat, where you can participate. All participants in the chats will be logged in under their names.

How do I participate in the forum?

The forum of activagers can be reached either via the menu 'forums' or through 'My media' under the sub-item 'Forum'.

What are groups and how do I start a new one?

Interest groups are communities based on common hobbies, interests, etc, which the users of activagers form and network with other members of activagers. Whether it is a hobby or questions dealing with all kinds of topics, in these groups kindred spirits may be found.

A new group is established by using the menu 'My Groups' with the option 'Create a new group'. This leads to a screen on which, the new group may be named and described. You can also specify who may join the group.

What are blogs?

Diaries are a thing of the past, today blogging is the way forward! Share with others your observations on everyday life, wonderful experiences, or whatever happens to be on your mind, by publishing your own blogs. It is possible to begin your virtual diary under 'My Media' then selecting 'Blog' and 'Create New Entry'. Registered users may comment on blog entries of other activagers.

How do I create my own photo album?

Photo albums can be uploaded under the option, 'My media' / 'Pictures' /' New Album. You first select the photos from your own hard disk ('Add Files') and then you upload ('Upload Selected Files'). The images may be up to two megabytes in size and must be of a known file format (jpg, gif, jpeg, png, bmp).

How can I add music to my profile?

Music files can be added in exactly the same manner as pictures, in the menu 'My media', simply by choosing 'Music' and following the same steps, which are needed for the uploading of photo albums.

How do I insert personal videos?

Uploading your own videos is just like uploading photos and music. In the menu 'My media' / 'video' / 'New Video' you select 'Add Files' and 'Upload Selected Files'. The videos are then added to your profile.
